While her contemporaries Priyanka Chopra and Lara Dutta are flaunting their curves in bikinis, Vidya Balan is happy and comfortable in her favourite attire - the sari - and says she will never wear a bikini.

"I don't see myself in a bikini ever. I am very comfortable in my saris and other Indian attire. Even if the script demands, I don't think I will ever wear one," she said at a press conference in the Big Cinemas on Thursday.

Previously, Vidya had received a lot of flak for her dressing sense and plump body.

Taking all that criticism in a positive manner, the 30-year-old actress has slimmed drastically and is looking ravishing in her sleek avatar. She is seen wearing mostly saris at functions and promotional events.

"I have started loving the seedha palla [straight fall] of the sari. I am very comfortable in Indian attires and I guess I carry them off pretty well," she said.

Bollywood actress Genelia D'Souza, who shot to fame with Jaane Tu... Ya Jaane Na, has joined Deepika Padukone and Sonam Kapoor in signing up as the face of a fairness cream brand.

She will now endorse Garnier's new product Garnier Light, said a press release from the firm.

Deepika is the brand ambassador of Johnson & Johnson's new fairness cream Neutrogena Fine Fairness, while Bollywood hunk John Abraham endorses Garnier Men fairness cream. Sonam Kapoor is the face of L'Oreal white perfect and last year Katrina Kaif was signed up as the face for Olay's skin whitening cream.

Actresses Aishwarya Rai and Bipasha Basu have spoken against fairness creams as they feel it generates discrimination on the basis of skin colour.

Tamannah has hit gold again. Although she is one of the hottest heroines in Tamil film industry, she could not make waves in Tollywood.

Tamannah has now got another chance to gain stardom here as she pairs up now with stylish star Allu Arjun in his next film, Badrinath, to be directed by hit director V V Vinayak.

Hansika was the first choice for this film but she reportedly quoted high price as remuneration, so the producer backed out of taking her in.

Actress Anne Hathaway has been chosen to announce the Oscar nominations on February 2, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences said on Tuesday.

Hathaway will join Academy President Tom Sherak at the early morning event, that signals the start of the most important stage in the awards season, culminating in the Oscar ceremony on March 7.

Hathaway was nominated last year for the best actress Oscar for her role in Rachel Getting Married.

Bollywood actress Preity Zinta pulled off a stunt by jumping off the wall of a toilet at the Delhi airport after she got stuck inside for more than 10 minutes.

"Spent 10 minutes stuck in the toilet at the airport...Finally had to climb the wall and jump over... People were calling out my name," Preity posted on her Twitter page on Tuesday.

The 34-year-old says she felt she would die in there, but managed to escape.

"Thought I was going to die as I am claustrophobic. Pulled a muscle in my arm...," she added.

She says her tomboy attitude helped her come out of the toilet.

"Being a tomboy when I was younger definitely helped. Trying to climb a wall is never easy. Phew! Happy to go home now," she said.
