Priyanka Chopra has bagged her first National Award for her role in Madhur Bhandarkar's Fashion. The 56th National Film Awards, announced on Saturday, also honoured Upendra Limaye as Best Actor for his performance in Marathi film, Jogwa. The Best Film award went to Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury's Antaheen (Bengali).
Bollywood, however, dominated the major awards as Arjun Rampal (Rock On!!) and Kangna Ranaut (Fashion) were adjudged Best Supporting Actor and Actress.
Bala wins National Award for Naan Kadavul
The award for the Best Hindi Film went to Abhishek Kapoor's Rock On!! and Abhay Deol starrer Oye Lucky, Lucky Oye won the Popular Film Award while Neeraj Pandey’s A Wednesday was named Best Debut Film of 2008.
