Anushka's big ticket to Kollywood stardom

Anushka is excited because her first film opposite superstar Vijay, Vettaikaran, is ready for release.

Speaking about returning to Tamil cinema (she did just one Tamil movie two years back), she says "I'm glad that I'm back with a bang this time. My role in Vettaikaaran will be something that will show me as a capable actress as well. I play a medical student in the movie opposite Vijay."

Directed by debutant Babu Sivan, the film hits theatres on December 18. It is Anushka's big ticket to stardom in Kollywood and the question being asked is: will she give competition to ruling queen Tamannaah?
