Story:

A well written tale, the story begins with two friends Farhan (madhavan) and Raju (sharman) who are well settled in life but they are on a mission- to locate their friend Rancho (Aamir). Well, Rancho was their room mate during the college days who dared to defy the system and believed in original thinking. Both Farhan and Raju come into the engineering college due to external factors and not their own interest but being with Rancho changes their outlook on life. There is also Pia (Kareena) who happens to be the love interest of Rancho but no one knows her whereabouts as well. Do Farhan and Raju get successful in their search? What are the experiences they have forms the rest of the story.

Presentation:

The director has come up with a sensible and touching storyline and both the presentation and narrative were excellent. The dialogues were filled with humor, the script was tight and the screenplay was awesome. Background score added to the moods and two songs were worth humming. Cinematography was above standard and gave good quality. Editing was crisp. Costumes were apt and the art department was effective. Aamir Khan came up with yet another show stealing performance and his efforts are tremendous. Kareena had a brief role but she made her presence felt. Madhavan was impressive and Sharman was superb. Boman Irani came out with yet another smashing performance. The guy who did the character of Chatur was outstanding. The others did their bit and added value to the film.

Conclusion:

The film happens to run on two tracks - college life in flashback and present situation. While the first half passes off breezily without any issues, a shocking twist occurs right before the interval. Even the second half has got its fine moments but then the pace comes down and one or two scenes were too melodramatic. Overall, the film will touch the hearts of the college goers and the youth audience. The technical values added with some fine performances make the film a completely fabulous product. Though the mass may not have much to relish, there sure is enough for them to enjoy. This will be a bumper success at the box office.

Very good, don't miss it!!!
